All referrals are treated with privacy and promptness. Please include any relevant information that will assist in the treatment of the patient (i.e. latest imaging/nerve conduction studies, particular past treatment of the condition) included with the referral.

General Practitioner Educational Sessions

A/Prof Lawson-Smith is available for GP Education Sessions for any specific educational needs, within a small or large environment. This can be organised through our rooms.

Workers Compensation

Workers’ Compensation cases can be quite stressful at times for the patient, referrer and employer alike.

A/Prof Lawson-Smith ensures a seamless medical approach of which, he works very closely with the patient, referrer, employer, insurer, occupational therapist and rehabilitation consultants and other allied specialties, to ensure that the patient has the utmost specialised care for their injury.

All trauma cases are immediately dealt with and triaged accordingly with the doctor.

Trauma

A/Prof Lawson-Smith accepts hand and upper limb trauma cases. Our office will accommodate patients within 24 – 48 hours.

At times, further imaging (MRI’s and CT Scans), splinting, and slings for example may be required. The rooms will help facilitate the appropriate referrals, to aide in the patient being treated promptly. This also allows for all referrers (and patients alike) to be ensured that the highest possible standard of care for the patient is obtained with minimal fuss.
